We stand behind the quality of our workmanship and are committed to providing dependable support should a warranty issue arise.
This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage provided by PCS & KEYS, what is covered, what is not covered, how to request warranty service, and your responsibilities as a customer.
By purchasing products or services from pcsandkeys.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Warranty Policy.
OUR WARRANTY COMMITMENT
Our goal is to deliver products that perform reliably from the moment they arrive.
If a covered manufacturing defect or workmanship issue occurs during the applicable warranty period, PCS & KEYS will work with you to determine the appropriate solution, which may include troubleshooting, repair, replacement of defective components, or replacement of the product where appropriate.
Warranty service is provided in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
PRODUCTS COVERED
Unless otherwise stated, this Warranty Policy may apply to:
• Custom Desktop Computers assembled by PCS & KEYS
• Custom Mechanical Keyboards assembled by PCS & KEYS
• PCS & KEYS branded products
• Other qualifying products specifically identified as including warranty coverage
Manufacturer warranties provided by third-party component manufacturers remain separate from this Warranty Policy and may provide additional coverage.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The applicable warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer unless otherwise stated in writing.
Warranty coverage may vary depending on the product purchased, promotional offer, or manufacturer requirements.
The applicable warranty period will be identified on the product page, invoice, or order confirmation where applicable.
WHAT IS COVERED
Subject to the terms of this Warranty Policy, warranty coverage generally includes defects resulting from:
• Manufacturing defects
• Assembly workmanship
• Hardware failures covered during the applicable warranty period
• Improper installation of components by PCS & KEYS
• Defective components supplied as part of a PCS & KEYS custom build
If a covered defect is confirmed, PCS & KEYS may, at its discretion, repair the product, replace the defective component, replace the product with an equivalent product, or provide another appropriate remedy consistent with applicable law.
CUSTOM DESKTOP COMPUTERS
Every PCS & KEYS custom desktop computer is professionally assembled and tested before shipment.
Prior to shipment, systems may undergo quality assurance procedures that include:
• Component verification
• Stability testing
• Hardware diagnostics
• Boot verification
• Visual inspection
• Cable management inspection
• General functionality testing
If a covered hardware or workmanship issue develops during the warranty period, PCS & KEYS will work with the customer to diagnose the issue and determine the appropriate warranty solution.
CUSTOM MECHANICAL KEYBOARDS
Custom keyboards assembled by PCS & KEYS are individually inspected before shipment.
Quality assurance may include:
• Switch verification
• Stabilizer inspection
• Keycap inspection
• PCB functionality testing
• USB connectivity verification
• General operational testing
If a covered manufacturing or workmanship defect is identified during the warranty period, PCS & KEYS will evaluate the issue and provide warranty service when appropriate.
TROUBLESHOOTING BEFORE RETURN
Before requesting warranty service, customers may be asked to perform basic troubleshooting steps.
These may include:
• Verifying cable connections
• Confirming monitor and peripheral operation
• Testing alternate cables
• Resetting firmware where applicable
• Running diagnostic software
• Providing photographs or videos
• Providing system information
Many issues can be resolved without requiring shipment of the product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This Warranty Policy does not cover damage or failures resulting from circumstances outside of normal manufacturing defects or workmanship.
Examples include:
• Accidental damage
• Physical abuse or misuse
• Liquid damage
• Fire
• Flood
• Lightning
• Power surges
• Improper transportation after delivery
• Improper installation by anyone other than PCS & KEYS
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Overclocking beyond manufacturer specifications
• Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by viruses, malware, or third-party software
• Damage resulting from failure to follow product instructions
Warranty coverage may also be denied if serial numbers, warranty labels, or identification markings have been removed, altered, or tampered with.
THIRD-PARTY COMPONENT WARRANTIES
Many components installed in PCS & KEYS custom systems are manufactured by third-party companies.
These components may include:
• Graphics Cards
• Processors (CPUs)
• Motherboards
• Memory (RAM)
• Storage Devices
• Power Supplies
• Cooling Systems
• Monitors
• Peripherals
These components may also include separate manufacturer warranties that exist independently of the PCS & KEYS Warranty.
Where appropriate, PCS & KEYS may assist customers in identifying or contacting the original manufacturer regarding applicable warranty coverage.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
If you believe your product has developed a defect covered by this Warranty Policy, please contact PCS & KEYS before returning any product.
Warranty requests should include:
• Order Number
• Full Name
• Email Address
• Description of the Issue
• Photos or Videos (if applicable)
• Error Messages (if applicable)
• Troubleshooting Steps Already Performed
Providing complete information helps us diagnose issues more efficiently and reduce unnecessary shipping whenever possible.
REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS
Many hardware issues can be diagnosed remotely.
PCS & KEYS may request:
• Photos
• Videos
• BIOS information
• System specifications
• Diagnostic reports
• Error codes
• Remote troubleshooting sessions when appropriate
Remote diagnostics often allow issues to be resolved without requiring shipment of the product.
WARRANTY REPAIRS
If warranty service is approved, PCS & KEYS may, at its sole discretion:
• Repair the product
• Replace defective components
• Replace the entire product with an equivalent product
• Provide refurbished replacement components where appropriate
Replacement parts may be new or professionally refurbished depending on availability.
All replacement parts become the property of PCS & KEYS where permitted by applicable law.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are responsible for:
• Proper operation of the product
• Maintaining appropriate backups of important data
• Following product instructions
• Protecting products from misuse or accidental damage
• Providing accurate information during warranty claims
PCS & KEYS is not responsible for loss of personal files, software, or data stored on returned devices.
Customers should back up all important information before returning any product for warranty service.
SHIPPING FOR WARRANTY SERVICE
If a product must be returned for warranty evaluation:
• Customers should package products securely.
• Original packaging is recommended whenever possible.
• Customers should remove personal accessories that are not related to the warranty issue unless instructed otherwise.
• Customers are responsible for following any return instructions provided by PCS & KEYS.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, PCS & KEYS may provide a prepaid shipping label or request that customers arrange return shipment.
NO FAULT FOUND
If a returned product is inspected and no covered defect is found, PCS & KEYS will notify the customer.
Depending on the circumstances, the product may be returned to the customer without repair.
If issues are determined to result from software configuration, user error, unsupported modifications, or non-covered conditions, warranty service may not apply.
REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS
Replacement components provided under warranty may not always be identical to the original component.
PCS & KEYS may substitute components of equal or greater performance, compatibility, and value when necessary due to product availability or manufacturer discontinuation.
Any substitute component will be selected to maintain the intended performance and functionality of the original system.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This Warranty Policy provides specific warranty coverage for eligible PCS & KEYS products and services.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, this Warranty Policy is the exclusive warranty provided by PCS & KEYS.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PCS & KEYS disclaims all other warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PCS & KEYS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:
• Loss of data
• Loss of software
• Loss of business
• Loss of profits
• Downtime
• Business interruption
• Loss of productivity
• Third-party software issues
• Unauthorized modifications
• Damage caused by external devices or accessories
Our total liability for any warranty claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product, except where prohibited by applicable law.
WARRANTY TRANSFERABILITY
Unless otherwise stated in writing, this Warranty Policy applies only to the original purchaser of the product and is generally not transferable to subsequent owners.
If PCS & KEYS offers transferable warranty coverage for a specific product or promotion, the applicable terms will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.
PRODUCTS RECEIVED FOR SERVICE
Customers are responsible for removing or backing up any important data before returning a product for warranty service.
PCS & KEYS is not responsible for:
• Loss of personal files
• Loss of software
• Loss of installed applications
• Lost passwords
• Lost licenses
• Lost personal settings
During repair or replacement, products may be restored, reconfigured, or tested as necessary to complete warranty service.
ABANDONED PRODUCTS
If PCS & KEYS is unable to contact a customer regarding a completed warranty repair, or if a repaired product remains unclaimed for an extended period after reasonable notification attempts, PCS & KEYS reserves the right to handle the product in accordance with applicable law.
FORCE MAJEURE
PCS & KEYS shall not be responsible for delays in warranty service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Natural disasters
• Severe weather
• Fire
• Flood
• Pandemic
• War
• Government actions
• Transportation disruptions
• Supplier shortages
• Internet outages
• Power failures
• Labor disputes
Warranty repair timelines may be extended during such events.
CHANGES TO THIS WARRANTY POLICY
PCS & KEYS reserves the right to modify or update this Warranty Policy at any time to reflect changes in our products, services, business practices, or legal obligations.
When updates are made, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
The version of the Warranty Policy in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to your warranty coverage unless a change is required by applicable law.
